Who it suits
The Standard account is the most straightforward way to trade with us. There is no separate commission line on your statement. Your cost of entering a position is the spread, and nothing is added on top of it.
That simplicity has real value while you are still building experience. Working out whether a trade was profitable does not require reconciling a commission schedule against your lot size. You look at the spread, you look at your target, and you know exactly where break even sits before you enter.
It suits traders placing a moderate number of positions, holding for hours or days rather than seconds, and trading in sizes where a marginally wider spread is not the dominant cost. If you are trading many times a day in significant size, the ECN account will almost certainly work out cheaper.
