Most large intraday moves are not random. They cluster around scheduled economic releases, central bank decisions and speeches, and a trader who knows what is coming has a straightforward advantage over one who is caught out by it. The calendar shows each event, the country, the release time in your local timezone, the market consensus forecast and the previous figure. Once the number lands, the actual figure appears alongside them. It is usually the gap between forecast and actual that drives the reaction, not the number itself, which is why a strong figure can still send a currency lower if the market expected stronger. Filter by impact level to focus on the releases that historically move price, and by country to match the instruments you trade.
